Installation; Work carried out to meet BS 5839 Part 1 2008, Fire Detection & Fire Alarm Systems for Buildings. Code of practice for system design, installation,commissioning and maintenance.
Emergency Lighting Systems
Planning, Design and Installation of Emergency Lighting Systems in the context of BS 5266: Part 1 2005, Code of practice for the emergency lighting of premises.
Local Authorities and Fire Prevention Departments often publish there own recommendations regarding the types of system and emergency durations and these, of course, must be taken into account when designing a system as they may complement BS5266 or even override it.
